Why We Started LIKE A GIRL CLUB in Breckenridge
Breaking the "Pink and Shrink" cycle with high-grit mountain apparel for women who actually shred.
The Gap in the Mountain
If you’ve spent any time on the chairlifts in Breckenridge, Vail, or Aspen lately, you’ve probably noticed a trend. While the energy of female riders is at an all-time high, the apparel options for us have remained stagnant. For years, the industry standard for women’s mountain merch has been "pink it and shrink it"—generic designs that don’t match the grit or the style of the girls we see in the backcountry and the terrain parks.
That’s why we launched LIKE A GIRL CLUB.
We aren't just another apparel company. We are a community-driven brand founded right here in the heart of the Rockies, born out of a need for something better.
What Does "Like A Girl" Actually Mean?
For a long time, doing things "like a girl" was used as a playground insult. But if you’ve ever watched a girl drop into a double-black diamond on Peak 8 or stomp a landing in the Park City pipe, you know that "playing like a girl" actually means playing with more heart, more style, and more resilience.
At LIKE A GIRL CLUB, our mission is to turn that phrase into a badge of honor. Whether you’re wearing our Snowboard Powder World Tour Crew or our distressed "Send It Like a Girl" tees, you’re wearing a uniform that represents a lifestyle of confidence and community.
Designed for the Elements (And the Après)
We know that a mountain lifestyle doesn't end when the lifts stop spinning. Our collections are designed with a specific "mountain-to-village" aesthetic:
-
Oversized Fits: Because we need room to move, tweak, and layer.
-
High-Grit Quality: Heavyweight fabrics that stand up to Colorado winters.
-
Aesthetic Awareness: Modern, edgy graphics that look just as good at a base-area bonfire as they do under a shell.
Join the Club: More Than Just Merch
When you buy a piece from LIKE A GIRL CLUB, you aren’t just a customer; you’re a member. We are building a space where female athletes—from professional "groms" to weekend warriors—can connect, share their lines, and push the culture forward.
We are starting our journey here in Breckenridge, Colorado, but the "Club" is global. From the scavenger hunts we hide on the mountain to our quarterly limited-edition drops, we are here to ensure that women finally have an offering that matches their energy.
